Musical Playdate

Mommy and I went to another playdate today, this time it was a musical playdate hosted by Claire (mommy) and Georgia (baby). That's a picture of them above. We had soooooo much fun! Claire played fun kiddee songs on her guitar and all of the mommies sang along.  All of us babies had a lot of fun.  She had a lot of puppets and toys for us to play with and a lot of the toys went with the songs that were sung.  I got to see a lot of my buddies from the last playdate and was also able to meet some new buddies. I can't wait for the next one. :)

Still Grabbing

Look at me shake my rattle. The coolest thing happened.  Mom put the rattle in my hand, I grasped it, then shook it and then...it made a noise!! It was so much fun shaking the rattle.  Mommy says "you looked so amused to hear the rattle and I could tell that you were making the connection that it was you that was helping the rattle make the noise.  You had so much fun! Ukelele Jam Session

Uncle Noel came over tonight and us 3 boys had a ukelele jam session.  Daddy got a ukelele recently. Uncle Noel picked one up for him when he was in Hawaii and daddy has been trying to learn to play for the past few weeks.  Uncle Noel has one too so he came over to play some music with daddy.  After watching daddy play while sitting on his lap, I wanted to get in on the action too.  By watching daddy, I figured out how to strum on the ukelele without grabbing the strings.

Mommy says, "I'm so proud of you my little angel. You are always surprising me and daddy with all of the things that you figure out how to do."

My first...Playdate

Mommy joined a mommy meet up group so that she can meet other new mommies with babies my age for me to interact with.  Today we went to our first playdate.  It was hosted by Shari (mommy) and Yarden (baby). That's a pic of me with Yarden at the end of the party.  There were 5 other babies, but they had already left when mommy took the picture.  Me and mommy had so much fun. I got to 'interact' with other babies and mommy got to talk to other moms and compare notes and to 'just chat.' Yarden's house is so much fun - filled with fun toys for me to play with.

Mommy says her favorite part of the playdate was "seeing you look at all of the babies for the first time. It was cute to watch your amazement as you looked at other little babies your size."

Mommy & Daddy Watch a Movie

Mommy & daddy watched a movie today at the Americana Shopping Center in Glendale.  The Pacific theaters play movies where mommies and daddies can bring their babies.  The movies are every Monday at 11am and they keep a little bit of light on and there is a table for parents to use to change diapers.  There were so many babies there and some were crying, some were running around, some were sitting on their parents' laps and some were sleeping. I was one of the babies that were sleeping and I slept through the whole movie letting mommy and daddy enjoy their 'date.'

Avery's 1st Bday Party

We went to Avery Yra's 1st Bday Party today.  It was so much fun.  They had lots of yummy food, an interesting 'clown' that wasn't really a clown but everyone called him a clown, fun games and cool prizes and giveaways.  There were lots of little kids there, especially little boys. I can't wait until I'm big enough to run around and play with them.

My 3 Month Birthday

I'm 3 months old today. I weigh 14 lbs 4 ozs (75th percentile) and am 25 inches long (85th percentile).  Mommy & daddy wonder where I'm getting my length from and wonder if it's from the Jimenez side (Grandma on daddy's side). See my mommy's 3 month update below.

Mommy's 3 month update: Chasee my munchkin.  You are accomplishing so much already. Mommy & daddy are so proud of you.  We are thrilled to see you grabbing/swatting at things.  Your tummy time gets better and better - you are holding your head up higher and for longer periods on your tummy.  Just last month you didn't like tummy time too much.  You're also babbling and cooing a lot more and seem to have 'conversations' with mommy and daddy.  You are always coming up with new sounds, which amaze me and your daddy.  You are so attentive when we read to you and seem to really listen and follow along by looking at all of the pictures in the books that we read to you.  When I point at certain pictures, you really look at what I'm pointing at.  We try to read a few books to you everyday. You love it when we sing nursery rhymes to you.  Your favorites are "old MacDonald" and "the wheels on the bus." You have gifted us with a full night's sleep this past month.  You usually sleep (in your crib in your own room) from 8/9pm - 6/7am, which is amazing! Thank you! Your naps are a little less scheduled.  You seem to nap really well in your carseat and in my arms, but seem to wake up from your nap as soon as I try to put you down.  You love looking at art - around the house, at the doctor's office, etc.  When you're a little fussy, taking a walk around the house to look at all of the art usually calms you down.  You're still using the paci, although it seems like you're weaning yourself off of it because you don't seem to need it as much anymore.  You now sleep with your arms above your head instead of near your face.  Your legs are really getting very strong - you love being held in a way that allows you to stand up.  You really do love your changing table buddies and can lay down on your changing pad staring up at them for long periods of time.  You smile back most times that we smile at you and that just melts our hearts.  You love baths - daddy's been in charge of those lately. Thanks daddy.  You definitely like to be held - I know I'll miss this one day so I try to cherish this as much as I can while it lasts. We love you!!
